Donna started her professional career as a practicing lawyer, author and professor. She has worked exclusively with members of the legal profession as a consultant and coach for over 30 years, and has helped lawyers in firms of all sizes, and in all areas of practice. The lawyers Donna has worked with range from those who practice with global full-service law firms to those in small boutique practices and solo practitioners and she also works with in-house legal counsel.
Donna works with lawyers at all stages of their professional careers, including managing partners of global law firms, executive and management committee members, department heads and practice group leaders, senior partners, and also associates.
With over 30 years of experience in the field of lawyer coaching, Donna has unparalleled qualifications and expertise, combining her background and in-depth knowledge of the practice of law, law firm management, business development and coaching. Since 1987, she has coached over 1500 lawyers in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.
Using a unique, nontraditional approach that is open, flexible, and focused entirely on the individual lawyer, Donna assists her clients in making changes that will allow them to perform at increasingly higher and higher levels and more fully develop their practices.
A pioneer in the field of professional services management and marketing, Donna authored one of the first books published on the subject of law firm marketing. She designed and taught for many years an advanced MBA course on services marketing at a leading business school, she has written several hundred articles for a number of legal profession publications and she has conducted numerous presentations at meetings and conferences of various bar associations and other legal profession specific associations.
